EMERGENCE 2025: A New Dawn in Creativity - Without WM

On June 29th, 2025, the halls of Mogo Media Academy came alive with purpose, passion, and promise, as we proudly presented 'EMERGENCE 2025: A New Dawn in Creativity - Without WM'. This grand event marked the culmination of months of hard work and dedication by our talented students, who were eager to showcase their exceptional works after completing their first semester in Animation and Game Development.

Game Development Takes Form

Each student from the Game Development track showcased a fully playable game prototype developed in Unreal Engine, which is a testament to not just technical prowess, but deep understanding of gameplay mechanics, environment design, and user experience. From imaginative narratives to intricately designed levels, the games were a powerful reflection of how far a curious mind can go when given the tools to create.

Animation in Motion

Our Animation students presented their journey through the foundational principles of animation, sharing their sketches, storyboards and animatics. The most moving part of their presentation was the conceptual reveal of their final diploma project which is an individual short film to be completed by the end of the course. Their commitment to storytelling, emotion, and craft spoke volumes.

A Moment of Recognition

We were honored to have top management from TV Derana and its affiliated companies attend the showcase. Their presence affirmed the value of what we are building, which is not just a school, but a movement. Their feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing disbelief and awe at the quality, maturity, and ambition of the work presented. For many, it was hard to believe this was the result of just six months of learning.

Why 'EMERGENCE'?

The name EMERGENCE was chosen with intention. It reflects growth, awakening, and the moment a dream first takes shape in the real world. We are not just teaching software or skills, but we are nurturing creators who are ready to step into the world with boldness and clarity. Our students are no longer hidden talents. They are emerging voices in animation and gaming that are ready to tell stories the world hasn't heard yet. As the saying goes,"Don’t wait for opportunity. Create it. And when you do, let it emerge loud, bright, and unapologetically yours." As the curtains fall on EMERGENCE, we are left not with an end, but with a beginning. These students are no longer learners, but are creators in motion, and we cannot wait to see what they will become. To everyone who came, who believed, and who supported this journey , we say thank you. And to our students: You are the future. You have emerged. Now soar.
